General Guidelines

1. Management

The Seventh-day Adventist Matriculation / ICSE School, is a private, unaided institution operated by the South East India Union of Seventh-day Adventists. 197, G.S.T. Road, Vandalur, Chennai.

2. Recognition

The School is recognised by the Government of Tamilnadu. The school follows the Course of Studies prescribed by the Tamilnadu School Education Department – The Director of Matriculation Schools, Chennai – 6.

3. Medium of Instruction

Medium of instruction in all classes is English.

4. Kindergarten

The school offers lower and upper Kindergarten classes. Children who have completed three years of age are admitted in L.K.G.

BOYS (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)

LKG – V: Binny – Grey Shorts, White Shirts (Half Sleeves), Black Leather Shoes & Black / Navy Blue Socks, School tie and belt.

VI – X: Binny – Grey Long Pants, White Shirts (Half Sleeves), Black Leather Shoes & Black / Navy Blue Socks, School tie and belt.

XI – XII: Grey Long Pants, Grey striped shirt (Half Sleeves), Black Socks, Black leather shoes and tie.

GIRLS (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)

LKG – VII: Grey Pinafore, White Shirt (half sleeves), School belt & tie, Black leather shoes and Black / Navy Blue socks.

VIII – X: White tops, Chudithar Grey pant, Overcoat / Grey thupatta and Black cut shoes.

XI – XII: Grey stripped tops, Chudithar Grey pants and Overcoat, Grey thuppata, Black Socks and Black cut shoes.

Note: On Wednesdays, students must come in white uniform with white canvas shoes and white socks.

10. Text Books
To maintain quality and uniformity we prescribe standard company. Text books. Text books are to be purchased from the school store and text books will be sold in the school store during the time of registration.
11. Registration
Registration commences from the middle of May. Pupils are expected to register their names before the end of May. Tuition fee and all the special fees for the first term are to be paid at the time of registration. Pupils should bring their result when they come for registration.
12. Admission
Every pupil, seeking admission, must get an application form from the school office. At the time of admission, Transfer certificate, Marks card and Conduct Certificate dully filled in and signed should be produced. Pupils coming from other states should get their Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by an Appropriate Educational Authority. Birth Certificate and Community Certificate must be produced for the LKG children.
13. Examination and Report Card
There will be two terminal examinations and one final examination, beside the usual three mid-term tests conducted in the classroom. After each examination and test, progress reports will be sent to parents. Results declared at the end of the year are final and cannot be altered or considered. Pupils are required to be present for 85% of the school working days as a prerequisite for their promotion at the final examination. To pass in a subject, one must obtain 40% of the maximum marks.
14. School Fees
All Pupils are expected to pay their tuition fees before the 10th of each month. Each Pupil is given a Free Check card. This Card should be with the Pupil or parent at the time of fee payment. No fees will be accepted without the fee card. School fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Tuition fees will be collected for all twelve months of the year. If fees remains unpaid for more than a month without any permission from the management, the pupil’s name will be removed from the rolls without any information.
